Adventures from all over the world

There's this place, high up in the mountains of Peru. Where for 4 days a year, the streets are filled with dancers in colorful outfits and the air with songs in Quechua. A festival where catholic religion and Andean tradition mix: La Fiesta de la Mamacha Carmen de Paucartambo.

Here, where the Andes meets the Amazon, various groups of dancers come to town to show their skills and pay homage to the Virgen, and people from all over the country join them to celebrate.

Ever since the 17th century the Virgen de Carmen festival has been a unique combination of tradition, faith, music, customs and folklore. A truly incredible spectacle.
